Community art project
Come and see our Community Art Project!
In celebration of our 60th Anniversary, we’re excited to unveil our new mural artwork, part of our collaborative Community Art Project. The finished artwork is now proudly displayed at two locations in the shopping centre.
This artwork was created by Lisa Curtis, a community-focused artist who brings people and places together through creative storytelling.
Lisa worked with local residents, schools and community groups to gather their ideas, memories and reflections about the area, shaping a design that celebrates Cowley’s history and future.
We held workshops in the centre in the early part of 2025 alongside an open event to gather memories. Submissions to the project were also made via community partners, local residents and on social media.
There are two pieces of artwork on display in the centre, one in the Upper Barr area and one located at the Between Towns Road Entrance.
