Science competition for 4 to 12 year olds
The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences are delighted to announce that our ‘My Bazaar Research Competition’ is open. The deadline is 12 February 2022. Our competition is open to U.K residents who are 4 to 12 years old. We hope to showcase some excellent entries as part of the Oxford Brookes Science Bazaar in 2022. Please do what you can to help support this initiative to engage young people with health and life sciences research.
In keeping with British Science Week, the Science Bazaar Beyond’s theme is ‘Growth’. The ‘My Bazaar Research Competition 2022’ celebrates this theme with ‘How Science Makes Me Grow!’ We want young people to think about health and life sciences, explore the relationship between science and growth by researching on the internet, their local library or using their existing knowledge and then create a storyboard. Information about the competition is available on the Science Bazaar webpages , including a ‘competition pack’ which can be downloaded. The pack features many of our health and life sciences researchers.
The competition is open to all U.K residents aged 4 to 12 (Reception to year 7 of secondary school) There are some good prizes and brilliant competition judges including a CBeebies House Presenter and a palaeontologist who works at the Oxford Natural History Museum.
