Mini Car Display
Templars Square shopping centre in Oxford, is to host a Mini car display to celebrate the Mini and the city’s heritage in the automotive industry.
From 12th – 18th February, 10 Minis will make an appearance in the shopping centre. The exhibition includes a 1963 Morris Mini which has always lived in Oxfordshire, Mini Pick-up, Mini van,1968 Mk2 Cooper, 1963 Wolseley Hornet, 1996 Mini Cooper, Mini 1275GT, 1990 Mini Flame, Mini Pick-up, 2000 Mini Cooper Sport and a 2001 MINI Cooper, one of the first modern MINIs to have been produced at MINI Plant Oxford.
The display of Minis has been organised by local resident and Cowley car enthusiast Tanya Field. Tanya comments: “I’m delighted to be back in Templars Square Shopping Centre with a small but wide-ranging display of Minis. Minis are iconic and have a special place in the hearts of many people, especially the communities which surround the MINI factory.”
