Summer Support for Action Pantry
As part of our commitment to supporting local charities, Templars Square has donated £300 to Action Pantry, part of the Mercy in Action organisation.
The charity ensures affordable food is easily accessible to people experiencing financial hardship or health issues. The donation from Templars Square will provide a boost to families over the summer holidays, providing healthy snacks and treats for children.
Action Pantry opened at Templars Square in 2020 and within a month was providing groceries and free school meals to over 35 families. As food insecurity grows due to the cost-of-living crisis, their pantries in Oxford and Bath have become a vital resource for hundreds of families, they now support over 60 members.
Rebecca Durrant, Action Pantry Manager, expressed her thanks, saying: “We appreciate the donation from Templars Square so much. The work we do supports so many different families struggling with a huge range of different challenges.
“Donations like this mean that we can continue to provide a reliable service to families, making sure we will always be available when they need us.
“We can continue to provide a balanced and healthy range of foods taking dietary and cultural needs into consideration.”
