WORLD CUP SWAP-SHOP COMES TO TEMPLARS SQUARE
Templars Square shopping centre is getting into the football spirit this weekend with an official World Cup sticker swap-shop launching this Saturday (16 June).
As we gear up for the eagerly awaited World Cup, the nation has already started collecting bundles of Panini sticker packets in a bid to fill up the 2018 sticker album – and Oxford is no exception.
To help fans complete their albums, Templars Square is welcoming local youngsters – and some grown-ups – every Saturday from 16 June to 7 July between 11am – 12pm, to come along and swap their doubles with like-minded collectors.
The swap-shop will be located in the main square inside the shopping centre.
Owen Acland, Templars Square Centre Manager, said: “Adults everywhere probably all remember how important it was to fill up that album when they were a youngster – some are still doing it in their older years! We wanted to get into the spirit and help those with doubles looking for swaps!
“Everyone is welcome, they just need to bring their stickers and their album! We look forward to seeing you in the centre. You might also win a replica World Cup football if you take part in a prize draw too!”
As part of the launch there will be also be a Father’s Day goal shoot out competition where one lucky dad will win a Toshiba HD TV – perfect to watch all of the World Cup 2018 games on!
For those wanting to get involved in the swap shop, albums and stickers can be bought in the centre in WH Smith and the Co-op.
